ClearView delivers a promise to respect and protect your privacy.  This page contains important information regarding use of personal data you give to us, please read carefully.  This policy further outlines ClearView's commitment to maintain your data safe and securely, ensuring management falls inline with data protection laws.

The personal data ClearView will collect may include your name, address, email address, contact number, IP Address, company you work for (if provided by you), any additional information you provide to us when contacting us and information about which pages on our websites you view and when.

We may gather information highlighting your interests and preferences to make sure we’re sending you relevant communications.

How Your Data Is Collected

Your information is collected when you communicate and interact with us.  This takes place when you provide personal details to us, when enquiring about products or services, when you sign up to our event updates and mailing list (not in effect as of yet).  We also acquire information through the use of cookies, these are used to optimise our website for personalised user experience.  

If you are operating through an external organisation, they may share information with us.  Checking their privacy policy should be considered when information is provided, in order to understand how this information will be processed.  When using social media platforms (for example Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook), you may provide information to us, so please check under your profile settings and check their privacy policy.

How Your Data Is Used

There are a variety of ways in which we might use your data to ensure we give you the best possible service. They include:

As a business, we require to hold on to some information in order to fulfil our legal obligations. With that said, our systems will only hold onto personal data for as long as set out in contract terms you hold with us, or for however long is seen as necessary.

The legal basis surrounding the processing of your information will mainly depend on the circumstances in which the information is being used and collected.  However we have outlined some categories that processing usually falls into.

  • Where we have a legitimate reason to process your information to support our aim of increases in vehicle and driver safety, additionally developments or news concerning telematics and CCTV Technologies. For example, if you have recently participated in a telematics workshop, we may feel that you would be interested in a similar event in the future. We may, therefore, send this information to you through a listed method of contact. You can ask us to stop providing you with this information at any time.

It is always your choice whether you want to receive information from            us, and you can opt-out at any time by contacting us directly. 

How We Keep Your Details Safe

Appropriate resources in order to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure have been invested in.  Although information will be sent via a secure connection, information that is transmitted over the internet, which includes emails, can never have a 100% security guarantee.  Although we go out our way to protect any personal information supplied to us, we cannot 100% guarantee that information you send to us will be secure, and therefore personal information is provided at your own risk. Once information is received at our end, steps are taken to ensure this information is treated securely.  

Secure servers are used to handle and store any information provided.  Our Channel Partner uses Mailchimp as their Marketing Automation platform and you must acknowledge that any information you provide to us that is passed along to Matrix Telematics, might also be transferred across to MailChimp for processing purposes in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms.

We use a secure portal to manage our telematics technology, in which customers will be given access to certain parts of our portal.  We will give you a secure password, which you can change at any time and it is solely your responsibility you to keep this password secure.  Do not disclose this password to anyone

Who Can Access Your Information

We provide a promise to our clients that we will never sell or lease your information to outside organisations that are not associated with us.  We promise to never share out information that individually distinguishes you to third parties organisations that are not associated with us for advertising reasons without asking for your consent.

Some third parties may require us to share personal information if it is necessary in helping us provide our services and products as well as manage the running of our website.  These include the following:

  • Any service providers who need to know certain information to provide you (or us) with a product or service

  • Our partners including, event organisers we work with and our channel partner Matrix Telematics;

  • Our advisers, in order to help us better manage, support or develop our organisation and comply with legal and regulatory obligations;

  • Law enforcement if legal obligations or court orders are outstanding.
